Debbie Binder Obituary: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Debbie Sue Binder of Chattaroy at the age of 64, on January 13th. Born on July 27, 1959, to Ruben and Doris Finkbeiner of Odessa, Washington, Debbie’s life was a testament to love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to serving others.
Debbie’s journey of compassion began after high school when she pursued a career in nursing at Big Bend Community College. Her heart led her to dedicate over 32 years of her life to nurturing the residents of Royal Park Care Center in Spokane, where she provided comfort, care, and companionship to countless individuals in their golden years.
In 1977, Debbie’s life took a beautiful turn when she crossed paths with the love of her life, Greg. Their love story blossomed, culminating in a joyous union in 1979. Together, they embarked on the journey of parenthood, welcoming two children into their lives: Matt and Missi.
Debbie approached every aspect of life with a deep sense of purpose and a commitment to making a difference. As a wife, mother, nurse, friend, and sister, she exuded warmth, kindness, and boundless love. Her home was a sanctuary of love and laughter, where she delighted in spoiling her grandchildren—Nolan, Nora, Hudson, and Vanessa—with endless affection and joy.
Beyond her nurturing nature, Debbie’s culinary skills were legendary. Whether she was whipping up comforting casseroles, traditional German dishes, or festive Christmas cookies, Debbie’s kitchen was a place of warmth and abundance, where she shared her love through the art of cooking and acts of service.
Debbie’s infectious smile, compassionate heart, and positive spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her presence lit up the lives of those around her, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who loved her.
Debbie is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Greg Binder, her loving children, Matt Binder and Missi McCloskey, and her cherished grandchildren. While we mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing that Debbie’s legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence.
In honoring Debbie’s memory, let us celebrate the profound impact she had on our lives and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. A private service will be held in her honor by her family, as we come together to cherish the memories of a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
