Marvin Braker Obituary: Roanoke, IL – Marvin R. Braker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and pillar of the community, passed away on March 14, 2024, at the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke at the age of 80. Born on April 10, 1943, in Liberal, MO, Marvin was the son of Ben S. and Clara (Meiss) Braker.

Marvin’s legacy is carried on by his devoted wife Michaleen Styner Braker, his children Kevin (Janice) Braker, Karel (Nate) Hoffman, and Michelle (Michael) Murphy, along with a vast family network including siblings, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Marvin’s professional journey was marked by dedication and service. For over two decades, he owned and operated the local Ace Hardware store, where he became a fixture in the community, known for his friendly demeanor and willingness to help.
