Roger Boster Obituary: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Keith Boster, a beloved partner, brother, and friend, who departed from this world on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Welia Hospital in Mora, MN. He was 88 years old.

Roger was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those he touched. Born into a loving family, he was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Del, Marlyn, and LeRoy, as well as his brother-in-law Mel Persson and sister-in-law Lynda Boster.

Despite the sorrow of his passing, Roger leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will endure for generations to come. He is survived by his devoted partner, Toni Valenzuela, whose unwavering support and companionship brought joy and comfort to Roger’s life. Also left to cherish his memory are his brothers Gary and Jim (Shirley) Boster, and his sister Lou Persson. Roger’s memory will also be cherished by Toni’s children, Michael (Chrissy) Valenzuela and Erin Valenzuela, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Roger’s life was characterized by his boundless generosity, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering dedication to those he loved. He lived each day with kindness and compassion, spreading joy wherever he went. His warm smile and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A man of honor and integrity, Roger served his country with distinction, embodying the values of duty and service as a member of the military. His commitment to his community was unwavering, and he leaves behind a legacy of selflessness and sacrifice that will forever be remembered.

In celebration of Roger’s remarkable life, a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the Hamilton Funeral Homes – Akkerman Chapel in Mora. Pastor Julie Beck will officiate the service, offering words of comfort and solace to those in attendance. Prior to the service, a Memorial Visitation will be held for one hour, providing an opportunity for friends and loved ones to pay their respects and share fond memories of Roger.

Military Honors will be provided by the Mora American Legion Post 201, honoring Roger’s service to his country with dignity and respect. Following the service, a Luncheon will be held at the Mora Masonic Hall, providing a time for fellowship and reflection as we gather to celebrate Roger’s life.

Though Roger may no longer walk among us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May we find comfort in the memories we shared and solace in the knowledge that Roger’s love will continue to guide us in the days ahead. Rest in peace, dear Roger, knowing that you are cherished and deeply missed by all whose lives you touched.
