Earl Inkpen Obituary :It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Earl Leonard Inkpen, formerly of Lewin’s Cove, residing in Greenhill, Burin, on March 15, 2024, his 74th birthday, at the Burin Peninsula Healthcare Centre.
Left to mourn his loss are his beloved sons Barry (Crystal) Inkpen, Darren Inkpen, Craig Inkpen, and Alan (Ruby) Inkpen; cherished daughters Alison (Ahren) Kirby and Ashley (Brad) Clarke; and his 12 adoring grandchildren. Earl also leaves behind his dear sisters Susan (Alvin) and Ella (Kevin); brothers Arnold, Bill, and Fraser (Elaine); sisters-in-law Sharon, Dorothy, and Linda; his special friend Esther; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, family, and friends, all of whom he cherished deeply.
Earl was preceded in death by his infant granddaughter Elsie Clarke, his parents Leonard and Reta Inkpen, his stepmother Grace Inkpen, his wife Ada, his brothers Russell and Roy, his brother-in-law Jerry Appleby, and his sisters-in-law Valetta and Shirley Inkpen, as well as his nephew Jason Inkpen.
From a young age, Earl exhibited a keen interest in understanding the mechanics of how things worked. This passion led him to pursue a career as an Electrician, where he became renowned for his gifted mind in electrical work. Earl was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, never hesitating to share his expertise with others. Beyond his professional life, Earl found solace in music and spent countless hours tending to his land. His family will forever treasure these memories and hold them close to their hearts as they remember the loving and kind-hearted man that Earl was.
In honoring Earl’s memory, his family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
A celebration of Earl’s life will be announced at a later date, allowing family and friends to come together and pay their respects to a man whose presence touched the lives of many. May he rest in peace.
