Janet Keenan Obituary: Electrician master man died at 82

Janet Keenan Obituary: Janet Jordan Keenan, 82, of Melrose, passed away peacefully on March 15th, 2024. Born in Revere and raised in Everett, Janet was the devoted daughter of Alfred and Catherine (Argenzio) Jordan. She was the beloved wife of Ron Keenan of Melrose, and is survived by his niece Marialice Dee and her husband Sean, along with their son Curran. Janet is also survived by her brother Frederick Jordan and his wife Marilyn (Celia) Jordan of Peabody. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert Jordan and James Jordan. Additionally, Janet is survived by her nieces and nephews: Frederick Jordan; Joseph Jordan and his daughter Alexa; Laurie Jordan; Anthony Jordan and his wife Cheryl, and their children Dakota and Hunter; and Jennifer Jordan and her son Rocco.

Janet had a profound love for animals and was known for her generosity toward the elderly, often providing car rides to those in need. For thirty years, she worked at the New England Telephone Company in Boston as the assistant supervisor in the graphics department. Kind, caring, and loving, Janet’s Catholic faith guided her through life’s challenges.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield, on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, at 11:30 AM, followed by interment at Glenwood Cemetery in Everett, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janet’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Inc., 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
