Alexander Barber Obituary:Mover and painter man passed away

Alexander Barber Obituary: It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander Blade Barber, affectionately known as Alex, who departed from this world on February 12, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was just 25 years old.

Alex was born on March 11, 1998, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Todd M Barber and Dorothy Elaine Thomas Barber. He spent his childhood in Idaho Falls, where he attended Linden Park Elementary and later Emerson High School.

At the time of his passing, Alex worked as a mover and painter alongside his colleagues at Travis and Golden. But beyond his profession, Alex was known for his warm and friendly nature. He was a true friend to all who knew him, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word.

One of Alex’s greatest joys in life was spending time outdoors. Whether he was fishing, camping, hunting, or picking huckleberries with his family, Alex cherished every moment spent in nature. He also treasured the time spent with his close-knit group of friends, who shared many adventures and made countless memories together.

Alex leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be forever remembered by those who knew him. He is survived by his father, Todd (Cindy) Barber of Menan, ID; mother, Dorothy Barber of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Shayna (Kellen) Harrison of Kearney, NE; brother, Christian (Brandi) Stewart of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Anna-Liisa Duncan of Idaho Falls, ID; grandmother, Sharon H Mortenson Summers of Idaho Falls, ID; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Ashton and Alexis Stewart, Jonas and Gage Harrison, and Andi, Tyson, Casey, and Jenna Duncan.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Brent Dellis Barber, and his grandparents, George and Mildred Thomas.

A viewing for family and friends will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.
