Shelia Franklin Obituary: Akebono, Glasgow employee passed away

Shelia Franklin Obituary:  we bid farewell to Shelia Green Franklin, affectionately known as “Aunt She,” who departed from this world on Friday, March 15, 2024, at TJ Samson Community Hospital. Born in Louisville, KY, on March 9, 1966, Shelia brought joy and warmth to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Shelia was a shining light in a world that could often be dark. Her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter illuminated the lives of those around her. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in the companionship of her beloved dog, Ethel, and embarking on adventures with her cherished family. Driving her 1940 Chevy brought her immense happiness, and she treasured every moment spent behind the wheel.

Throughout her life, Shelia was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her radiant smile and compassionate nature left a lasting impression on all who crossed her path.

Shelia is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Don Franklin; her devoted sister, Stefanie Mullins; and her adoring nieces and nephews, Lane Howard, Luke Howard, Kayla Early, and Kelsie Martin. She also leaves behind a multitude of relatives and friends who will deeply mourn her loss.

A celebration of Shelia’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on March 19th at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, followed by burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation hours will take place from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday and Tuesday morning until the time of the service at the funeral home.

As we gather to honor Shelia’s memory, let us take solace in the knowledge that her spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. Though she may no longer walk among us, her love and light will forever guide us through the darkness. May she rest in eternal peace.
