Zachary Boyd Obituary: we announce the passing of Mr. Zachary Cody Boyd, age 32, of Honaker, Virginia, who departed from this world on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, in Lebanon, Virginia. Zachary was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, whose memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on July 21, 1991, in Richlands, Virginia, Zachary was the son of Eura Catherine Penley Boyd of Honaker and the late Billy Roger Boyd. Raised in the warmth of his family’s love, Zachary was a proud graduate of Honaker High School, Class of 2011, and a lifelong resident of the area he called home.
Zachary dedicated himself to his work as a machinist for J-Mar, where his commitment to excellence and his strong work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He approached every task with determination and skill, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked alongside.
Outside of work, Zachary was a passionate car enthusiast, with a particular love for Ford Mustangs. He found joy and excitement in exploring the world of automobiles, sharing his passion with friends and fellow enthusiasts.
Zachary’s kind and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He had a way of making everyone feel valued and appreciated, and his presence brought warmth and light to any room he entered. His genuine kindness and unwavering strength will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and coworkers.
In addition to his mother, Zachary is survived by his siblings: Pam Fields and husband, Jeff, of Lebanon; Chris Boyd of Honaker; Jonathan Boyd and wife, Jennifer, of Lebanon; and Jennifer Short and husband, Bubby, of Honaker. He also leaves behind three nephews, Hunter, Dawson, and Derek, and a great-nephew, Clyde, as well as many friends and coworkers who were blessed to know him.
A graveside service to honor Zachary’s life will be conducted at 12 Noon on Friday at Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon, Virginia. Those wishing to pay their respects are invited to assemble at the cemetery.
As we bid farewell to Zachary, let us hold onto the memories of his kindness, strength, and love. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
