Savannah Kriger & Kaiden Murder-Suicide : In an event that has left the San Antonio community heartbroken, the search for 32-year-old Savannah Kriger and her 3-year-old son, Kaiden, ended in despair.
The two went missing on Monday afternoon, igniting a wide-ranging search that concluded with a grim discovery early Tuesday morning.
Savannah, a devoted mother, and young Kaiden were last seen heading to a doctor’s appointment, a routine trip that turned into an unimaginable tragedy. The alarm was raised when Savannah’s car, a white 2023 Lincoln Aviator, was found abandoned in a local park, a discovery that intensified the search efforts.
Bexar County Sheriff, Javier Salazar, confirmed in a somber press conference that the bodies of Savannah and Kaiden were found in a ditch near the park where the car was located.
The investigation quickly took a tragic turn as evidence suggested a murder-suicide, with both mother and son bearing bullet wounds. A weapon was found at the scene, adding a stark finality to the unfolding events.

The initial concern for Savannah and Kaiden’s welfare was raised Monday evening when family and friends could not reach Savannah by phone, and her location services were inactive.
Law enforcement was alerted, and a welfare check at Savannah’s residence revealed unsettling signs, prompting a search that led them to the park.
Sheriff Salazar detailed Savannah’s last known movements, noting she had left work around 2 p.m. to pick up Kaiden from daycare, a departure captured by those who saw her driving away. Despite efforts to locate them on Monday night, the search was hampered by darkness, leading to the tragic discovery the following morning.
Adding to the complexity of the case, it was revealed that Savannah was embroiled in a custody dispute over Kaiden with the boy’s father. They were due in court for a hearing the day after Savannah and Kaiden were found.
