Linden Phillips’s death: The Phillips family of Whigham, Georgia, is reeling from the tragic loss of their beloved 13-year-old, Linden Phillips, who was killed in a dirt bike accident.
According to the family, Linden lost control of his dirt bike while attempting to jump a ditch in their yard, which led to him ending up on a main roadway where he was struck by a commercial vehicle.
Speaking out about the incident, Linden’s older sister, Ariah Phillips, emphasized that Linden was never allowed to ride his dirt bike on main roads and that the accident was a “freak accident.”

She stressed that Linden was breaking family rules by riding the bike without supervision, without wearing a helmet, and near the road.
The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help them cope with this devastating loss. Additionally, they have announced plans for a special tribute to Linden on Friday, March 29th, where family and friends will wear yellow in honor of Linden’s joyful spirit and love for fishing.
Ariah fondly remembered Linden as a goofball who was loved by many, with a contagious smile that lit up any room.
The Whigham community has rallied around the Phillips family, offering prayers and support during this difficult time.
Michael Best of Grady County Schools expressed the school community’s profound sadness over Linden’s passing, describing him not just as a student but as a cherished classmate and friend to many.
Funeral arrangements for Linden are scheduled for Saturday at 1 pm at El Bethel Baptist Church in Whigham.
