Michael Mankiller Obituary: Michael “Mike” Charles Mankiller, born on November 2, 1965, in San Fernando, CA, departed peacefully from this world on February 20, 2024.

Raised in San Fernando, Mike graduated from James Monroe High School in 1983 before bravely enlisting in the US Navy. Following an honorable discharge, he sought a new beginning in Oklahoma, where he married Melissa Prince.

Together, they welcomed their beloved children, Amanda and Clinton, and established their family home in Tulsa, OK. After a divorce in 1998, Mike settled in Turley, Oklahoma, where he resided for 25 years.

Mike’s professional journey led him to become a skilled welder and machinist, known for his dedication during his tenure at Flo-Bend and OK Machine. He retired due to health complications after a decade of service.

Outside of work, Mike embraced life’s joys, finding passion in midnight drags, horse races, bowling, golfing, working on cars, boxing, and his favorite TV shows. He lived life in the fast lane, always on “Indian time.” However, his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his family, especially his adored grandchildren – Olivia, Brylie, Kayella, Justin, and Adellayah…

A celebration of Mike’s life will take place on March 22, 2024, at 1 pm at Rivercrest Chapel. The family welcomes friends, colleagues, and acquaintances to join them in honoring the memory of a beloved father, grandfather, partner, and friend. May he rest in eternal peace.
