Mr Evgini Bike Crashed: The streets of Phuket bore witness to tragedy as a fatal motorbike crash claimed the life of a 25-year-old Russian man in Baan Don, Tambon Thepkrasattri.

The untimely demise unfolded yesterday, March 24 2024, as the man’s vehicle collided with the wall of a house.

Promptly responding to the distressing call around 10 pm, Police Lieutenant Colonel Niwat Thimket of the Thalang police arrived at the scene.

Amidst the wreckage, a Yamaha NMAX motorbike, bearing Phuket registration, stood wedged between a power pole and the front gate of the house, still upright. Tragically, the man’s lifeless body was discovered on the driveway before the gate.

An initial investigation by the authorities unveiled that the man was en route to Cherng Talay when he lost control on a curve, culminating in the devastating crash.

Rescue teams from Thepkrasattri Tambon Administrative Organisation (OrBorTor) and the Phuket Kusoldharm Foundation swiftly descended upon the scene.

While the man’s body was tenderly transported to Thalang Hospital, the motorbike was relinquished to Thalang Police Station as crucial evidence, aiding the ongoing inquiry.

Despite the somber turn of events, it was revealed that Russian consular officials had yet to be notified about the man’s passing.

Out of respect for the grieving family, the Russian man’s identity is being withheld until his next of kin can be informed, as reported by local Phuket news outlets.
