Ashley Peck Death: The 33-year-old woman who tragically passed away after hitting her head while riding an e-scooter in downtown Salt Lake City has been identified as Ashley Rose Peck.
Ashley, a devoted mother of five, was riding with friends on Thursday night when the accident occurred.
According to her cousin, Emilio Gonzales, Ashley was enjoying an evening out with her boyfriend and cousin when the incident took place.
They were riding along West Temple, between 400 and 500 South, when Ashley hit a buckle in the sidewalk.

The impact caused her to be ejected from the e-scooter, and she flew approximately 10 to 15 feet in the air before landing on the ground and hitting her head.
The family is devastated by Ashley’s sudden and tragic death. They are calling on officials to prioritize sidewalk repairs to prevent similar accidents from happening to others.
