The tragic death of Tommie-lee Gracie Billington, an 11-year-old boy from Clayton-le-Woods and South Ribble, has left his family completely devastated.
Tommie-lee passed away on Saturday after being found unresponsive at a friend’s house in Greenset Close, Lancaster. He had suffered a suspected cardiac arrest around 12.30 pm and despite being rushed to the hospital, paramedics were unable to save him.
While Lancashire Police have described his death as ‘unexplained’ and an investigation is ongoing, Tommie-lee’s grandmother, Tina Burns, has shared that he died after participating in a dangerous TikTok craze that went tragically wrong.
“He died instantly after a sleepover at a friend’s house. The boys had tried a dangerous TikTok craze,” said his family.
This heartbreaking incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers associated with online challenges and the importance of safety precautions, especially for young people.
