Brigid Kelly Obituary: Brigid Kelly, the former Hamilton County Auditor, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer, as confirmed by a statement from the county.

The auditor’s office expressed profound sadness at the loss of Brigid Kelly, describing her as a cherished wife, daughter, sister, and friend, as well as a dedicated public servant.

Her recent resignation from the Hamilton County Auditor’s Office, announced on March 21, 2024, preceded her passing.

In her resignation letter, Kelly cited her declining health and the need to prioritize her personal well-being.

Her dedication to equity and her vision for a more inclusive future resonated deeply with colleagues and constituents alike.

Brigid Kelly worked at the Hamilton County Auditor’s office. Prior to this role, she worked at the Ohio House of Representatives and also at UFCW Local 75.

Brigid pursued her education at the University of Cincinnati, where she studied Labor and Employment Relations. Additionally, she studied Entrepreneurial Studies at Xavier University.

Brigid attended St. Ursula Academy for her high school education. She currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio, but originally hails from Norwood.
