Zac Roe Obituary: Andover, Hampshire, 9-year-old boy died in crash

Zac Roe Obituary: A 9-year-old boy from Andover in Hampshire died in a road accident in North Dorset on Monday 25 March 2024.

On Monday, tragedy struck on the A354 Salisbury Road at East Woodyates, where a collision involving a grey Citroen DS9, a white Ford Transit van, and a DAF cattle transporter truck and trailer took place.

Among the victims was nine-year-old Zac Roe from Andover in Hampshire, a passenger in the Citroen, who tragically lost his life at the scene.

The driver of the Citroen, a woman in her 30s from Hampshire, was initially arrested on suspicion of murder but has since been released without charge for that offense. She was also arrested on suspicion of a driving offense and has been released on police bail as investigations continue.

Detective Chief Inspector Neil Third, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, expressed condolences, stating, “Our thoughts continue to remain with all those affected by the sad death of Zac Roe.”

Zac’s father Josh Roe said: “Words cannot describe the pain I’m feeling, my heart is broken. You are my little angel. I love you more than anything in this world, you are my best buddy.”

Zac’s grandfather Chris Roe added: “Zac, there are just no words to find. I just want to thank you for the wonderful and fun-filled memories we shared on the short journey of your life.

“You were taken too soon, but memories will last us a lifetime. We will never stop loving you. Your smile and laughter still echo around my and everyone’s heart. Sweet dreams our little angel.”

The family of Zac Roe issued a heartfelt tribute, mourning the loss of their beloved Zac. The community stands in solidarity with the Roe family during this difficult time.
