9-year-old girl Death: The Matteson Police Department is currently investigating a tragic incident in which a 9-year-old girl, identified as Nola White, passed away after reportedly falling and hitting her head.
Authorities responded to the scene on the 4100-block of Applewood Lane following reports of the girl’s fall just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
Upon arrival, police and fire crews immediately began life-saving measures on Nola until paramedics arrived.
Despite their efforts, she was rushed to a local emergency room where she was pronounced deceased shortly after her arrival.
At this stage, the police do not suspect foul play in Nola’s death. However, they are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Additionally, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office will also conduct their own investigation to determine the exact cause of Nola’s tragic passing.
