17-year-old girl death: A 17-year-old girl who was hospitalized in critical condition after she was shot earlier this week has died.

The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the vicinity of 11th Street and Lewis Avenue, as reported by the Long Beach Police Department.

Upon receiving the report, officers swiftly responded to the scene and provided immediate medical assistance to the victim. She was then transported to the hospital by paramedics for urgent care.

Initial findings from the investigation suggest that the victim was walking along the street when she encountered one or more individuals.
