Missing Amanda Richmond Rogers, found dead from Icy Eagle River

Amanda Richmond Rogers Death: Tragedy has struck in Anchorage, Alaska, as the body of Amanda Richmond Rogers, 45, has been discovered in the Eagle River.

Amanda Richmond Rogers a dedicated nurse and mother of four, had been missing since December 23.

The heartbreaking incident occurred when Richmond Rogers bravely attempted to rescue her dog, Groot, who had fallen through the icy river.

Her sister, Jennifer Richmond, revealed to KTUU that Amanda was found holding Groot’s lifeless body in her arms.

The ordeal unfolded while Amanda and her husband, Brian Rogers, were walking their dogs along the riverbank. Groot accidentally plunged through the ice while attempting to quench his thirst.

Brian recounted the harrowing moments, expressing his futile attempts to reach Amanda as she valiantly swam downstream under the ice, disappearing from his sight.

Despite his efforts and ongoing hope, Amanda’s tragic fate was sealed.
