Walmart Shooting: Antavius Holton, 19, was killed and a 9-year-old girl was injured after a shooting inside a Walmart in Georgia on Friday.
Antavius Holton, 19, was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later died. A 9-year-old girl was also shot but is expected to survive.
According to Fayetteville Police Department, the suspect, 19-year-old Adrian Jelks is on the run. He is wanted for murder and aggravated assault, according to police.
Officers found the car Jelks drove away in abandoned.
Sandra Romero-Nunez, 19, an alleged accomplice was arrested and taken to Fayette County Jail, according to police.
The police have stated that the shooting was not a random act of violence and that there may have been a connection between the suspect and the victim.
Witnesses described their shock and concern for the victims, emphasizing the need for improved security measures in public places like Walmart.
