However, Asa’s health continued to deteriorate, culminating in a frightening incident on January 5, 2023. His partner, Saffron, discovered him collapsed and unresponsive on the sofa, with evidence of vomit that was later identified as feces due to a bowel obstruction.

Swift action by Saffron, who immediately called emergency services, likely saved Asa’s life. Upon arrival at the hospital, doctors suspected a tumor and recommended urgent surgery.
