Danielle Whittaker Gold Coast, 40-year-old woman died from drug overdose

Danielle Whittaker Gold Coast, a 40-year-old woman who tragically died from a drug overdose in a Gold Coast high-rise apartment.

Danielle Whittaker was celebrating her 40th birthday on Friday surrounded by six close friends.

The group was partying in an apartment at the Ocean by Meriton in Surfers Paradise where it’s believed some women ingested a cocktail of drugs.

Paramedics were called just after 11 pm following reports of multiple drug overdoses.

Whittaker suffered a cardiac arrest and despite best efforts from paramedics, she couldn’t be revived.

The two other patients were found not breathing.

A 43-year-old woman was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in critical condition where she is now stable. The other 43-year-old woman has now been released from hospital.
