Michael Vinson Crash: A South Carolina firefighter tragically lost his life while responding to a call on Easter Sunday morning.
The Clinton Fire Department in Laurens County shared the devastating news on Sunday, confirming the passing of Firefighter Michael “Mike Mike” Vinson during the response to an incident around 11 a.m. involving department engine 1202.
Reports indicate that a second firefighter was airlifted to Spartanburg Regional Hospital for treatment.
Additionally, an occupant of the other involved vehicle was transported to a local hospital for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol’s Multi-disciplinary Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) has taken charge of investigating the crash.
