1 woman & 2 children killed: Tragedy struck over Easter weekend in San Bernardino County, California, as three lives, including two children, were lost in a devastating head-on collision on the 15 Freeway.

According to authorities, the accident occurred just before 2 p.m. on March 30 when a Kia traveling south near Halloran Springs hydroplaned across the center median and collided with a Mercedes SUV in the northbound lanes.

The collision claimed the lives of a 13-year-old boy and a 43-year-old woman who were passengers in the Kia, along with an 11-year-old boy in the Mercedes.

Seven others, ranging from 3 to 52 years old, sustained moderate to major injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The stretch of Interstate 15, less than 100 miles from Las Vegas, serves as a common route for travelers from Los Angeles heading to Vegas.

The occupants of the Mercedes, all from Los Angeles, were among those involved in the tragic accident.

The San Bernardino County Coroner identified the deceased woman as Alicia Ramos of Madera, while the identities of the two boys killed have not yet been released.
