Briana Soto, 17-year-old Poly High School student shot killed

Briana Soto, 17-year-old a senior at Poly High School, died days after she was shot in the city’s Cambodia Town area.

A 17-year-old girl from Long Beach tragically passed away after sustaining gunshot wounds in the city’s Cambodia Town area, prompting law enforcement to search for the perpetrator and determine a motive.

Briana’s loved ones have launched a fundraiser to assist with funeral and medical expenses.

According to police reports, Briana was near 11th Street and Lewis Avenue around 8:25 p.m. on March 26 when she was approached by at least one assailant and shot for reasons unknown.

Family members revealed that Briana was walking home from work when the tragic incident unfolded.
