Austin Kirk Obituary: Sharon, PA, NLMK Pennsylvania employee died at 25

Austin Kirk Obituary: Austin Tyler Kirk, 25, of Sharon, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 29, 2024, in his home gym.

Austin was born in Erie on July 25, 1998, to Kellie (Daugherty) Yobe and Adam Kirk. He graduated from Sharon High School in 2016, where he played baseball and basketball. He also studied at Slippery Rock University.

He worked for the City of Sharon Street Department and NLMK Pennsylvania.

Austin was the most devoted fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams, particularly the Steelers, never missing a single play of a game since 2004 when Big Ben started playing. He was also the biggest Ben Roethlisberger fan, even naming his son Benjamin.

Austin Tyler’s visitation will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Lebanon Presbyterian Church, 2090 Mercer-West Middlesex Road, Mercer.

The funeral service will follow at 4:30 p.m. in the church. The family requests that friends and family wear black and gold, especially a Steelers jersey if possible, to honor Austin’s love for the team.

The interment will take place at Lebanon Church Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home, West Middlesex.
